Australian team Chiefs defeated Immunity at the MSI CyberGamer Premier League Season 4 finals in Melbourne, Australia with a 2-1 score (5-16 on de_cache, 16-11 on de_dust2, and 25-23 on de_train). Alongside ESWC PGW and ASUS ROG Nordic, the CyberGamer Premier League Season 4 finals had the misfortune of taking place during the major weekend and thus eclipsed notice for the most part. Four of Australia's best outfits battled it out at the $10,000 event, which took place over two days at PAX Australia in Melbourne.
In another sign that the top tier of Australian Counter-Strike is both unstable and yet highly competitive, it was the Chiefs (who actually finished bottom of the table in the recent Oceania division of FACEIT League Stage 3) who managed to win the event. Following traded map-wins in the form of de_cache and de_dust2, Chiefs prevailed in a triple overtime slog on de_train, winning the final map 25-23 and taking home the first place prize.
